Church
Because
of the war, many strong Christians were murdered or enslaved
when Muslim militias raided villages. Many others succumbed
to forced conversions to Islam. Those who refused were tortured,
raped and often executed. Now, in order to build up and encourage
the remnant of survivors, Make Way Partners provides discipleship
programs to key leaders and to the community through the indigenously
led churches.
The discipleship
programs for key leaders empower the indigenous leadersto
then share the Gospel in their community and offer ongoing
discipleship to their people.
MWP develops programs to teach, train,
exhort and encourage so that they may build up the remnant
of Christians within their communities and evangelize to their
Animist and Muslim neighbors. Short-term leaders have led
Men's discipleship and Bible training, Women's Discipleship
and Counseling; Teachers' Professional and Spiritual Training,
and Children's Vacation Bible School.
