Human Trafficking Statistics:

There are over 30 million victims of human trafficking and modern day slavery in the world today. (US Trafficking in Persons Report)

In slavery today - 80% are Female and over 1/2 are Children.  (US Government)

Human Trafficking generates billions of dollars each year. It is second only to drug trafficking in international crime.  (US Trafficking in Persons Report)

In the USA:

The United States of America is the #1 country of destination for trafficked victims.   The USA is a receiving country for sex-slaves and forced manual workers from around the world.  Within our own borders, run-away or kidnapped children are also sold and exploited.  Much internet child pornography and/or solicitation comes at the expense of these children.

While we cannot say that the particular children highlighted below have been trafficked, we do know that missing children are, at the very least, at high risk of trafficking.  Please visit this link often to see if you recognize any of these children.   If so, please report them immediately.

A child goes missing every 40 seconds in the USA.  That is more than 2,000 a day and more than 800,000 every year.  (National Center for Missing and Exploited Children)  Another estimated 500,000 disappear without being reported.  For most, these bodies are never found. (Child Rescue Network)   What happens to them?

Atlanta, Georgia is the hotbed for sex tourism in the country.   "Men fly in, are met by pimps, have sex with a 14-year-old for lunch, and get home in time for dinner with the family," said Sanford Jones, the chief juvenile judge of Fulton County, Georgia.  (Reuters: Sex Tourism Thriving in Bible Belt - click here)

Las Vegas is the epicenter of North American prostitution and sex trafficking. (Melissa Farley, 'Prostitution and Trafficking in Nevada: Making the Connections')

More than 50% of online images of child abuse reported to an internet watchdog can be traced to the USA - leading percentage above all other countries.  (Internet Watch

Foundation (IWF))

1 in 7 teenagers in the USA run away from home . Living on the streets, one out of every three teens will be lured into prostitution within 48 hours of leaving home. And the longer they are gone, the more likely they are to engage in "survival sex." After three months away from home, 90 percent of children will turn to sex.   (National Incidence Studies of Missing, Runaway and Throwaway Children)

Hidden In Plain View - Some of these victims come to the USA with dreams of a new life but instead enter into a living nightmare. They are hidden right in front of us as we live our daily lives. They may be working in fields you pass. They may be hidden in vans driving down the highway. They may be the women dancing in strip clubs you think are there by choice. They may be children locked away in quiet neighborhoods near where you live waiting in dark basements for the next customer to knock at the door.

In the USA trafficking rings have been discovered in trailor parks, massage parlors, suburban homes, farms, working in major employment companies, in mansions...

Human trafficking affects all of us

We ask you to carefully count the cost of doing nothing and choose rather to take action.

Join the MWP Movement: With your financial support we can make a difference for those that are at-risk of human trafficking and slavery.  Be a part of God's plan to set the captives free!
