Do a Fundraiser

You can help fight human trafficking!

At Make Way Partners we believe that Compassion = Empathy in Action. Fundraisers are one important way in which concerned, compassion filled people can take action to combat human trafficking.   Fundraisers provide the opportunity to educate a community, empower volunteers and through local action make a lasting global impact by raising finances that provide direct aid to those at-risk.   Click here to view photos of Volunteers in Action!

Here are some ideas to get you started:

 

1. Tell Others!  Request information packets from MWP to shareto share with friends, family, business partners or pastors!  Click Here.  

Send letters to friends and family about Make Way Partners, your interest in the organization, and how they can help... your passion or interest could inspire others! 

Join via MySpace or Facebook and send friends a link to join the cause! 

 

2. Search the Internet!     Shop on line!      Do what you normally do      MWP raises money for ministry!

3. Plan & Host a Freedom Fest in your area!  Find out more click here

4. Buy a phone - buy your next phone through "Phones for Good" and MWP can make up to $50! Click on the icon to learn more!

 

5.  Sell stuff you no longer need by hosting a garage sale or posting on Craigs List or on EBAY - through EBAY Giving Works.  Then donate the money to MWP!  Find out more about selling on EBay: click here

 

6. Find a restaurant that will donate part of the cost of a meal or provide meal (see story below for details about "Third Thursday" Volunteering) -- then gather your team and get serving!  As you serve you can educate the community and raise funding for MWP.

7. Host/Walk/Run/Bike a 5K or a Marathon with donations from sponsors going to MWP.  Set up a fundraising page with FirstGiving to help you set and meet your fundraising goal!

 

8. Alternate gift giving - Have friends and family members donate to MWP in honor of your birthday or for a special holiday,instead of purchasing gifts.  Have them donate directly to MWP or set a fundraising goal and set up a personalized fundraising page with FirstGiving.

 

9. CIS: Character In Service - MWP' CIS program is a unique character building program that partners local school children, at-risk children from Darfur and corporate sponsors in activities specifically designed to develop and strengthen the character of our children.  Everyone from a teacher to a local community leader can be a part of this life changing program!   Contact us to find out how to start this program today!
