Speak Out:
Robert
and Rachel Cortesio
"April
2007 was a step of faith for us as we left our family, friends,
and our home on the family farm in northern Missouri to travel
the United States with a crane company erecting wind turbines.
We prayed for months about this decision to change jobs and
knew that God was giving us not just an opportunity to better
ourselves financially, but also an opportunity to bless others!
We decided to take on support of “our kids” in faith that
God would provide, and He has! Our hearts soar with joy as
we see the life-changing difference MWP makes each day in
the lives of each boy and girl in MWP's care, sharing not
only food, shelter, and education, but also the love and hope
of Jesus Christ.
We had been out on
the road until fall of 2008 and came home for a break. At
that time we got the news of MWP's need to upgrade to Complete
Care for each orphan. As you can imagine, our minds raced
with the knowledge that the cost for each orphan would need
to triple…. The winds of economic fear are blowing strong,
but we choose to stand firm on the solid ground of our almighty
God – we have faith that He will provide, He will work miracles,
and we even have faith that He will bless us to the point
of being able to provide for more orphans! God is Jehovah
Jireh, our provider, and He is good! It is all His, and we
are excited about what He is going to do! We are not fretting,
considering dropping support, but pushing forward, expecting
great things from the Lord! We are living in exciting times,
and we expect God to do exciting things. Praise be to God!”

Note:
When our president,
Kimberly Smith called Robert and Rachel to ask them to take
on Complete Care for their seven children, they said "Well,
if God had blessed us with seven children by birth and then
the economy fell or inflation went up, would we get rid of
some of 'our kids'? No. WE will keep them all."
