Act Locally – Impact Globally
Through a movement of compassion — empathy in action — you can act locally to make a global impact in the fight against modern day slavery.
At Make Way Partners, we are very interested in working alongside volunteers and committed individuals who have a heart for this ministry and want to give of their time and energy. Local volunteers can offer their ideas to help raise awareness, organize and host a fundraising event, and help tell the story by sharing about human trafficking and modern-day oppression at church, school, work, or community.
Below are a few ideas of how you can become more involved with Make Way Partners by serving locally. Take the FIRST STEP by downloading and submitting the volunteer application!
At MWP we believe that uniting and fighting through prayer is essential in the battle to set the captives free.
They were frightened. The powerful charismatic leader of their group had been taken and imprisoned. What were they to do? They decided the only thing that could make a difference was prayer. They huddled together and prayed fervently. The faithful group was still meeting when they heard a knock at the door. They were surprised and even caught off guard that God would answer their prayers so quickly and powerfully. It was reported that the girl who went to the door must have been confused about who was there. Someone suggested, it must be an angel. It was not. It was Peter, and he had been set free.
This is an account from Acts 12. When the early church encountered a problem with slavery, they turned immediately to God.

One exciting way volunteers can tell others about Make Way Partners is through the many social media avenues. “Like” the Make Way Partners Facebook page, share information on Twitter, and ask others in your social circles to join you in the battle!
Others forward blog or e-newsletters posts to keep friends connected to prayer needs and partnership opportunities. Sharing with your community and those in your circle of influence is a powerful way to help Make Way Partners and the many we protect.
From garage sales and art exhibits, to bake sales and car washes, our volunteers are invited to unite their gifts, talents, and passions for the greater need. Whether you sell items on eBay, run marathons, or participate in alternative gift giving for birthdays or Christmas, Make Way Partners is excited to help you make a difference with a fundraiser of your own.
