Mission
Team
Short-term
mission teams are an essential part of the ministry in Sudan.
Christian persecution has been strong for nearly five decades.
The Christians today are so alone, so few and so isolated.
They feel like a forgotten people. When a team comes, it means
so much to them because they know the mission teams have come
a great distance just to be with them. It is encouraging that
someone cares, that they are not forgotten, and that as brothers
and sisters in Christ, we are standing beside them.
Mission teams also
go to hear their stories and understand what the people of
Sudan have been through, so that we can understand what is
happening, and when at home, share what we learn so that others
might know, give and pray.
2 Corinthians 1:3-11 teaches us that
God comforts us – SO THAT we may comfort others. This is a
priceless blessing to offer the Sudanese and an important
component of our faith.
