Make Way Partners is more than an organization name; it is a clarion call to each of us. First inspired from the story of Joseph in Genesis, as Pharaoh adopts him, calling for everyone to, “Make Way” for his new son. We see this same theme repeated many times throughout the biblical narrative, including John the Baptist calling “Make Way for the Son of God”. Today, these words shout a passionate cry in the wilderness of humanity for each of us to Make Way for God coming through our own daily lives. Make Way for hope. Make Way for the impossible to be made possible. Make Way for the voice of the most vulnerable to be heard. Make Way for what God is already doing and longs to do in and through you and me in the midst of suffering—if only we are willing.
You and me. Each one of our lives are vital toward answering this clarion call to Make Way for transformation. Together, as Partners, we are invited into a lifelong journey of offering all that we have and all that we are to a mission bigger than ourselves. Together, as Partners, we unite to witness and hear the voice of the vulnerable and stand in the gap for the oppressed. Together, as Partners, we Make Way for Love, Healing, Transformation, and Hope…. We Make Way for Restoration… we Make Way to set the captives free.
Strengthen our efforts today by joining Make Way Partners in prayer and financial support of our strong network of indigenous directors, local staff, global affiliates and sojourners.
Together, we live the impossible: raising up a new generation of peace-makers in Sudan and South Sudan.
This young family is an amazing story of living that clarion call to make way for God, and has inspired many others to find their unique path to make way! This family’s 12-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son annually host their own inspired “Love You Sister Lemonade” and “Love You Brother Fun Run”. They raised over $5,000 for the widows and orphans in our anti-trafficking network this year alone. There’s also a small group of retired women who have come faithfully each week over the past month to the Mission Farm (MWP headquarters). They volunteer their time to organize child sponsorship letters and get them out to your hands as quickly as possible! Those letters are now on their way to sponsorship families in record time because of a simple choice these women made to give up some of their personal and family time, for the sake of our orphans.
There are many ways to partner with us. What is your unique idea? How much time can you spare? In what way can you join us on the journey? We have local volunteer needs in Alabama, and there are many examples around the globe for how you can serve and mobilize others in your area. Join us in Making Way for freedom…. You are needed. Your life matters.
